About Call of Duty World at War Map Pack 2
Der Riese, or The Giant, is the fourth Call of Duty: Zombies map to be released and is based on the Nightfire multiplayer map. The setting is near Breslau Germany in a secret Nazi base called Waffenfabrik Der Riese. Call of Duty World at War Map Pack 2 is a bundle of new multiplayer maps and components for the World War II first person shooter that was released in the Call of Duty World at War Patch version 1.5. The patch download includes a number of minor tweaks and bug fixes that mostly impact the multiplayer portion of the game and the multiplayer lobby. The new maps and content included with Map Pack 2 are three competitive multiplayer maps - Banzai, Corrosion and Sup Pens!, one new Zombies map and one new weapon for use in Zombies mode. The patch can be downloaded from a number of hosting sites and is included in updated versions of the retail release which can be found on a number digitial distribution services. Specific details on what is included in the patch are listed below and screenshots of the new maps can also be found in the Map Pack 2 gallery.

About Call of Duty World at War
Call of Duty World at War is the fourth game in the popular Call of Duty series. Set during World War II, it includes two single players story campaigns where players control a United States Marine as they fight against the Japanese and a Soldier in the Soviet Army as they battle for Berlin in the closing days of the War. In addition to the single player modes, Call of Duty World At War also includes a competitive multiplayer mode and is the first Call of Duty game to feature a Zombies game mode, which has not become a staple of many Call of Duty games released since.

It has grown quite a bit since then and has become one of the most popular aspects of the games that included in. Nacht der Untoten
Nacht der Untoten or Night of the Undead is the first zombies' map released for a Call of Duty game. This map was actually basic bonus mini-game included in the full Call of Duty: World at War release. Nacht der Untoten quickly became one of the most popular features when released in 2008 and all the Call of Duty: Zombies modes that follow is a credit to the success of Nacht der Untoten. It is also the most basic of zombie maps/modes with just three rooms and basic enemy AI.
The premise is a fairly simple tower defense style gameplay where up to four players take on wave after wave of zombies trying to break through boarded up windows and doors. Players earn points from killing zombies and replacing boards which can then be used to purchase new more powerful weapons. However, players will only be able to last so long as each wave will have more and more zombies until players are eventually overrun and killed.
The Nacht der Untoten Zombies map re-appeared in Call of Duty: Black Ops and in addition to updated graphics, it also included power-ups, Cold War-era weapons, and improved enemy AI.
Verrückt
Verrückt, which translates to insane/crazy in English, was the second Call of Duty: Zombies map to be released and has since become known as simply Zombie Asylum. The map was included in the first Call of Duty: World at War map packDLC and an updated version was included in the Call of Duty: Black Ops Rezurrection map pack. The map is more than twice the size of Nacht der Untoten and features more weapons and items, smarter and faster zombies and Perk-a-Cola machines where each drink will give players certain perks against zombies to help them survive longer.
While the map is on a whole larger than Nacht der Untoten the rooms are smaller and more close quarters combat. The zombies are also more deadly in Zombie Asylum and can more easily overrun players if they get too close and are not careful. It also includes features a mystery box, when opened makes a new weapon available, the PPSh-41. The version in Call of Duty: Black Ops also includes a weapon called the Winter's Howl that fires ice at zombies which slow them on the first hit and then encases them in ice on a second hit while slowed. It is also the first zombie map that includes named characters including Tank Dempsey, John Banana, Smokey and an unnamed marine.
Shi No Numa
Shi No Numa, which translates to Swamp of Death, is the third Call of Duty: Zombies map that was released and can be found in both Call of Duty: World at War and Call of Duty: Black Ops. It was released in the Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 2 and the Call of Duty: Black Ops Rezurrection map pack. This map is set in a Japanese jungle and is the only map in the Nazi zombies model that features Japanese zombie soldiers rather than Nazi zombies. The map is also unique to zombies mode where the previous maps released were based on maps from the multiplayer portion of the game.
Shi No Numa also introduces a number of new zombies gameplay features including boss fights where players take on a unique and more powerful type of zombie, Hellhounds, and random spawn points. The map also sees the return of Tank Dempsey as a playable character and introduces three new characters, Nikolai Belinski, Takeo Masaki and Edward Richtofen.
Der Riese
Der Riese, or The Giant, is the fourth Call of Duty: Zombies map to be released and is based on the Nightfire multiplayer map. Kino der Toten
Kino der Total, which translates from German to theater of the dead, is the first zombie map made available in Call of Duty: Black Ops and the fifth zombies map released. The map features more than a dozen different rooms in an old, abandoned theater. New features include crawler zombies, which are zombies that crawl around on their hands and knees, the Fire Pit Trap which incinerates both players and zombies that pass through it. A new wonder weapon called the Thundergun is introduced in this map which also sees the return of the cast of playable characters from Shi No Numa and Der Riese. The map is included in the base Call of Duty: Black Ops game.
Five
Five is a multiplayer zombies match that includes Cold War-era historical figures as playable characters. They include John F. Kennedy, Richard Nixon, Robert McNamara, and Fidel Castro and takes place in the Pentagon. The map includes a number of new features including elevators, new power-ups and a Pentagon thief which replaces Hellhounds and is a special zombie that attempts to steal players' weapons. It also features Cold War-era weapons and is exclusive to Call of Duty: Black Ops
Dead Ops Arcade
Dead Ops Arcade is a hidden game within Call of Duty: Black Ops that is unlocked by breaking free from the chair the character is locked to in the opening menu screen. Upon entering the correct code, players will be taken to a new mini-game that is played from the top-down view. The objections are similar to previous zombies games, survive for as long as possible. Weapons, ammunition, and power-ups in this top-down shooter are plentiful as are the zombies. The mini-game includes a total of 10 different environments spread over 40 rounds. Upon completion of the last round, a battle with a zombie silverback gorilla known as Cosmic Silverback ensues. If successful in defeating the Cosmic Silverback, the game cycles back to the first round/environment but includes zombies in greater numbers and ones that are tougher.
Ascension
Ascension is a zombies map that was included in the Call of Duty: Black Ops First Strike map pack and is the eighth zombie map released. It takes place in a former Soviet Cosmodrome that has been abandoned. The map includes two new perks and two new wonder weapons, grenades called the Gersch device and the Matryoshka Doll. The four characters of Tank Dempsey, Nikolai Belinski, Takeo Masaki and Edward Richtofen that are featured in a number of earlier Call of Duty zombie maps are featured in Ascension. It also follows the storyline of from Kino der Toten. It also features new zombies including Russian cosmonaut, scientist, military, civilian zombies and Space Monkeys that steal players perks.
Call of the Dead
Call of the Dead is a zombies map that was included in the Call of Duty: Escalation map pack and features celebrities as both playable characters and zombies. It is set in an abandoned Siberian coastal outpost that includes a shipwreck and lighthouse. The playable characters include the likeness and voice acting of Sarah Michelle Gellar, Robert Englund, Michael Rooker, and Danny Trejo. Making a special appearance as a zombie boss is the godfather of zombie movies, George A. Romero. The map introduces two new wonder weapons, new perks, power-ups and an Easter egg where the player must help the four characters from the previous maps escape to 'Paradise.'
Shangri-La
Shangri-La is a zombies map that was included in the Call of Duty: Black Ops Annihilation map pack. It includes the four characters found in other zombie maps after they have been teleported from Call of the Dead Map into 'paradise.' It features three new zombie types Napalm zombies, Shrieker zombies, and zombie monkeys as well as new items and environmental elements such as the mining cart, geyser, and water slide. It also includes a new wonder weapon, the 31079 JGb215 that fires a beam that causes a zombie's body to shrink allowing players to run into and kick them.
Moon
Moon is the final zombie map that was released for Call of Duty: Black Ops. It was included in the Rezurrection map pack. Moon features the same four playable characters and is the largest of all zombies maps for Call of Duty: Black Ops. It actually features two locations, Area 51 where the game starts and an outpost on the moon know as Griffin Station. The game begins in Area 51 and as zombies grow in strength and numbers, players will eventually be forced to retreat into a teleporter which takes them to Griffin Station to fight off additional, endless waves of zombies.
New features include a new perk, two new wonder weapons: Wave Gun and QED; two new zombie types: Phasing Crawler zombies and Astronaut zombies, Low/no gravity, and more.

Green Run
Green Run is a large map that is part of the TranZit zombies storyline mode that links the five distinct locations together. These locations are the Bus Depot, Diner, Farm Power Plant and Town. It introduces four new playable characters and features three different game modes, Grief, Survival and Turned modes. Grief is a 4v4 competitive match where teams try to outlast each other; Survival is just that, try to survive the zombies as long as possible; Turned allows players to play as zombies. The Green Run also contains additional locations that are not found in TranZit model including the Tunnel, Pylon, and Hunter's Cabin.
Nuketown Zombies
Nuketown Zombies is a zombies game mode that was part of the Call of Duty: Black Ops II Deluxe, Hardened and Care Package editions and Season pass members. It has since been made available for purchase via Steam, Xbox Marketplace, and PlayStation Store. It was taken as a Black Ops fan-favorite multiplayer map. This zombies map/mode introduces two playable factions to Zombies, the CDC and CIA and takes place after the nuclear explosion that ended Black Ops. Nuketown does not contain any newly introduced weapons or perks. The back story for Nuketown takes place during the same timeframe of the Moon zombies map.

Mob of the Dead
Mob of the Dead is a zombies map that was part of the Call of Duty: Black Ops II Uprising DLC. It is set on Alcatraz Island and debuts four new playable characters, imprisoned mobsters Finn O'Leary, Albert Arlington, Salvatore DeLuca and Billy Handsome. The map includes one new wonder weapon called the Blundergat, a new perk called Electric Cherry and Brutus, a new boss zombie. The map contains some objectives that players can complete to gain special weapons and items for use in the game. Mob of the Dead is also the first zombie games that don't end in the player's death, by unlocking the Pop Goes the Weasel Easter Egg, some characters may be able to escape death.
Buried
Buried is the sixteenth Call of Duty: Zombies map which was part of the Call of Duty: Black Ops II Vengeance DLC pack. In it players take on the roles of Abigail 'Misty' Briarton, Samuel J. Stuhlinger, Marlton Johnson and Russman who are part of the TranZit zombies mode. New features include a new per called Vulture Aid which will cause zombies to drop ammunition, money or emit green smoke which can protect players from zombie attacks. There are also new weapons introduced in Buried: the Paralyszer, Ray Gun Mark II, and Remington New Model Army revolver.
Origins
The Origins Call of Duty: Zombies map was released in the Call of Duty: Black Ops II Apocalypse DLC and is the last Zombies map released for this game. It includes Perk-a-Cola machines, power-ups and new wonder weapons that are buildable. Two new zombies are also introduced in Origins Panzer Soldat and Giant Mech. Origins also mark the return of the original set of characters found in the early zombie maps namely Tank Dempsey, Nikolai Belinski, Takeo Masaki, and Edward Richtofen. This is their only appearance in Call of Duty: Black Ops II zombies maps.
Shadows of Evil
Shadows of Evil is the first Zombies map to be released for Call of Duty: Black Ops III. Set in a fictional city named Morg City during the 1940s, it introduces four new playable characters named Nero Blackstone, Jessica, Jack Vincent, and Floyd Campbell. It will also feature two new zombies and gumball machines that give players certain perks and abilities when eaten.
Dead Ops Arcade 2
Dead Ops Arcade 2 is the sequel to Dead Ops Arcade from Call of Duty: Black Ops. At the time of this writing little information has been released on this minigame or how it is enabled.
Der Eisendrache
Der Eisendrache, which translates to The Iron Dragon, is the Call of Duty: Zombies map that was included in the first DLC released for Call of Duty: Black Ops III called Awakening. It picks up the four heroes from the Origins map and sets them on a mission into Griffin Castle in Austria which has been turned into research facility that sits on a site of unspeakable horror and large deposits of Element 115.

Zetsubou No Shima
Zetsubou No Shima is the Zombies map/game included in the second DLC pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops III. It takes players back to the Pacific Theater of World War II and is said to be a re-creation of the Call of Duty: World at War Map Banzai. The Call of Duty: Black Ops III Eclipse DLC was released on April 19, 2016, for the PS4 and then for Xbox One and PC about a month later.
