Lastly, enable the phonetic keyboard by clicking on the input indicator on the taskbar (or press the Windows key + Space) and select the Indic Phonetic keyboard. Enter your feedback with keyboard name (e.g. Hindi phonetic keyboard) in ' Add details ' textbox (the more details the better!), add a screenshot if you can, and tap ' Send ' icon to post it. Phonetic Keyboard English
This program installs a keyboard layout on your computer. On installation, the language bar will become visible on the task bar with the letters EN.
Clicking on that will give choice of HI also. That is for Hindi. Click on that and you can type in devnagari in notebook, wordpad, browsers and in ALL applications. You will need to enable hindi language thru Regional & Language Settings in Control Panel In Win Vista you will need to download and install the Language Pack .. and THEN disable 'hindi' from all menus/prompts/etc to continue working in English .. and to see devnagari characters.
