I generally use the Parametric EQ 2 (the one with the active display) for coarse high and low pass filtering on individual mixer channels (eg. getting rid of the lower harmonics from basic 3xOsc patches, cutting out high end noise from samples, etc). The problem I run into is that when I use it to cut out, say, everything from 150Hz down, it never really cuts the frequencies all the way out, I always end up having to roll off using the mixer channel's 3-band EQ, which seems way more active. Is there a way to adjust how much the individual band controls on the Parametric EQ effect the output? I always end up getting the result I want, it just seems silly to have to do it twice.

Parametric Eq Explained

Yewbic (from DOA) found a way to improve the way the FL Studio Parametric EQ 2 looks.

Here’s a screenshot of the before and after.

Parametric EQ 2 – Original (left) and modified (right)

Here are the instructions:
Find the Artwork folder in your FL Studio installation, i.e.
C:Program FilesImage-LineFL Studio 7PluginsFruityEffectsFruity Parametric EQ 2Artwork

There will be three files: About.png, Back.bmp, Spectrum.bmp.

Studio

You are going to replace the Back.bmp file, so rename the original Back.bmp (i.e. Back_original.bmp) so you can restore it later if you like.

Now just copy the Back.bmp file below to the Artwork folder and that’s it. Of course you can modify the Back.bmp file yourself as well.
